From Martoccia’s Cinigiano vineyard comes Poggio Apricale, a young red with energy for days. Crafted from Sangiovese, Merlot, and Colorino, this wine begins its life in soils rich with stony texture. Hand-harvested in late September, vinification begins with three days of cold maceration and ten days of natural fermentation in stainless steel. Fermentation is followed by three months in Slavonian and French oak to adds structure but not overshadow this wine’s youthful character.
