Maloof - Oak Ridge Gewürztraminer
From Gewürztraminer vines dating to the early 1980's. The slopes are south-facing and sit at roughly 1,400 ft elevation in the foothills of Mt. Adams. The fruit was fermented until dry on the skins (19 days) in open top fermenters, before being pressed off and matured in neutral Burgundy barrels for 8 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Deliciously aromatic. Black tea, rose petals, and sea salt but also a lemonlike acidity that keeps asking for more.
Region: Columbia Gorge AVA, Washington
Grape: Gewürztraminer
Vintage: 2022
