Laila is a producer making wine in the Wadi Qannoubine region of Lebanon. Originally from the US, with Palestine heritage, is currently spending time between Lebanon and Australia. She has been producing wine in Lebanon since 2021 called ‘Love Letter’.
Laila strongly believes in natural wine and making wine without any additives and strives to work with indigenous grape varieties when possible, showcasing the unique terroir of the region. All the wines produced are from organic grapes, fermented naturally, have zero sulphur added and are meant to be expressive and alive. Love Letter is an ode to her Levantine roots.
This is an incredible skin-contact wine that will capture your attention and you’ll want to keep drinking to learn more about this ancient, indigenous white Lebanese grape. On the nose delicate floral, citrus and nutty notes. The palate is medium-bodied, with layers of flavours that go from orange peel, grapefruit, lemon, mango, sea salt, to subtle spices. Its finish is fun, interesting and full of enjoyment.
Pair it with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood dishes, salad and cheeses.
