Akilia - Bierzo Clarete Rosé
Distributor Notes: A Clarete is a wine that is made like a red, but with a mixture of white and red varieties and short maceration periods, which produces a wine with a color that puts it in the rosé category. Akilia Clarete brings together two interesting varieties: the Mencía red and the Palomino white grape. Mario Rovira (winemaker both here and in Catalonia) is part of the new generation of Spanish winemakers, and makes this wine as a tribute to this ancient production method that he has refined with the modern and innovative character that he is so well known for.
Aromas of red berries on the nose, accompanied by herbal and floral nuances and a mineral touch. On the palate it is fresh and flavorsome. A Clarete with concentrated fruit, a dry finish and rustic charm.
