Bodega Cerrón - 'Rabia'
From winemaker: The first Bodega Cerrón vineyards came into possession of the family in 1895, since when we have followed traditional farming practices based on respect for nature and environment. A century later, in 1995, this led to the winery achieving one of the first organic certification awarded in Spain. The wines of Bodega Cerrón are made using organic grapes from our single estate winery in the village of Fuente -Alamo in the south-east of Spain. We believe in winemaking integrate with the environment and respectful for the natural production cycle of the soil. For these reasons through this years we have followed farming and winemaking practices based on organic and biodynamic farming, low yields, hand harvesting, wild yeasts.
Crafted entirely from our Petit Verdot grape variety and organically cultivated in prime Mediterranean climate, this wine is carefully aged in oak barrels for 14 months.
With its intense purple-red in color, this wine offers a dash of toasty and smoky flavors and is enhanced by nuances of balsamic and mineral aromas. The result is a full-bodied blend that ‘Rages’ with vigor and elegance. Smooth to the palate, the taste of this complex wine is fruity, while presenting great concentration and persistence. Young but serious. It’s name is a representation of the Spanish passion for making a unique wine overcoming all the obstacles. Limited production.
Pairs excellent with red meats, game meats, spicy dishes and strong cheeses.
